This is a quality tool. As a professional plumber I use this tool a lot to take apart Sloan toilets and urinals as the flat jaws won't mar the finish, and it also works great when working on sink basket strainers to loosen and tighten the locking nut underneath. Lots of other uses too, but those are what I run into the most. When it comes to plumbing wrenches my experience is you can't go wrong with Ridgid, and this wrench is no exception.

Looked around for the best wrench to help with the bigger nuts around my home, especially the plumbing ones such as the sink drain nut, and I found this one. Every do it yourself home owner should have one of these in his or her toolbox. The smooth jaws won't mark up your fittings and no regular Crescent wrench will open this far !

This wrench is gold. I bought it to help with replacing my radiator heating system. I am remodeling the first floor of a 2 flat in Chicago. Tore up those pipes that have been around since who knows when. I replaced them with pex tubing to making it easier to work with. This wrench helped me remove he old radiator valves and stems without damaging them. I also used them to install the new bushing in the big 3 inch pipes hanging inf the basement ceiling and the pex fittings (hexagaon). It's light weight and definitely something to have in your tool chest to open or close piping without damaging the fitting. My dad got me into the ridgid brand and have purchased the ridgid version of things. A bit pricier but worth the investment.

Awesome tool! I'm an aircraft mechanic and I carry one of these in my line box. This wrench has saved me several times working on Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Worth every penny. I recommend it to all my co-workers. The wrench is very strong also! Last time I used it had to put a piece of pipe on handle and Aero-Kroil penetrant on a frozen fitting. Using all my weight and strength, the fitting broke loose. Tool is just fine! Quality!

Great wrench for Rural Water Treatment or Rural Water Distribution Operators. Its adjustability works on valves anywhere between 1/2" to 2" for installation and packing nuts on pretty much any valve you'd find in a small rural water system (1/2" and up). It has great torque for its length and is also really gentle on surfaces at the same time, no marring delicate brass, all while still having excellent bite. It'll work on any hex or square 3/4" and larger. But yea simply put just fantastic for anything plumbing.

I couldn't find confirmation anywhere in the listing or in the reviews for this wrench about where it's made. I wanted to confirm here that it is indeed made in USA and has the beautiful fit and finish that one expects from USA made Ridgid products.

Also, the listing says this wrench will close down to fit a minimum 1 1/8" nut, but in fact it will accomodate nuts as small as 3/4". Perhaps that's not very important since everyone has other wrenches that fit smaller nuts more conveniently, but there you go.

I ordered 2 of these for tightening the shaft and rudder logs on my sportfisher. Much better than the garbage adjustable wrench sold at Tiffany's by the Sea (West Marine). These get an extra side of contact on the nut, and don't slip off so readily. Also good for other large bolts/nuts such as Zinc plugs on my exhaust risers.
